I was having a cocktail by the pool with my friend Cindy McDougal and we saw this boy for sale in Texas. I had always admired Jim and Judy Doss’ breeding program and then next thing you know, I was in Texas signing the deal to bring Mijo to California. What’s not to like about this boy. First, he has an amazing pedigree going back to the son of Tobe named Rocket and out of one of the prettiest Rocky mares ever and a daughter of Maple’s Squirrel – Squirrels Milagro. Second, he is beautiful – perfect conformation, lovely color, and look at that hair – a mane that falls thick on both sides and what a forelock. Now on the gait and temperament – sweet easy country trail gait and he is so very sweet and willing. What a great addition to our herd. He had a beautiful roan colt in Texas this year and watch for his California babies (hope to have 5) in 2021.
